The state is so enormous it encompasses a fantastic variety of scenery, heritage and climate. The Panhandle Plains region in the north west bordering New Mexico and Oklahoma is still reminiscient of the Old West, with large plains and canyons.
n the west, the Big Bend region has the impressive National Park with beautiful parklands and the Davis Mountains. Way out west is El Paso at the Mexican border with those magical Spanish influences texas-big-bend.jpg
One of the prettiest regions in the state is the Texas Hill country with its rolling hills, lakes and rivers. The state capital, Austin, is a must visit. TexasHillCountry.jpg
In the South Texas Plains region you can experience the feel of the 'old south', the Rio Grande Vally and River and the history of the Alamo. texas-south-plains.jpg
The Gulf coast has 350 miles of coastline encompassing stunning beaches, wildlife and marvels of nature. It extends all the way from the Rio Grande and Mexico and around the coast past Houston, NASA, and up to Beaumont and the Louisiana border. texas-gulfcoast.jpg
Heading north inland is the Prairies and Lakes region with its wonderful tranquil scenery. This is contrasted by the frenetic pace of urban life in Dallas and Fort Worth with their commercial and entertainment focus. texas-pairies&lakes.jpg
Finally enjoy the welcome of the Piney Woods Region which offers beautiful forests, fishing and great family outdoor entertainment. The Southern hospitality will bowl you over. texas-pineywoods.jpg
