Here are some useful vocab and phrases for when you need to reserve a room and check into the hotel.

At the hotel

Are there any rooms available? -Tiene alguna habitación disponible?

No, I`m sorry.The hotel is full- Lo siento pero el hotel está completo.

Are there any other hotels nearby - Hay otros hoteles cerca de aquí?

Yes of course, what type of room would you like?- Sí por supuesto.Qué tipo de habitación le gustaría?

I would like a single room - Quisiera una habitación individual.

I would like a double room - Quisiera una habitación doble

with - con

a bath - un baño
a shower -una ducha
a TV - una televisión
a phone - un teléfono
a hairdryer - un secador de pelo
a fridge - un frigorífico
a balcony - un balcón
a sea-view - vista del mar
a double bed - una cama matrimonial

I reserved a room in the name of Paul - He reservado una habitación a nombre de Paul.

For how many nights?- Para cuántas noches?

I will be staying for one night only - Voy a quedarme una sola noche
four nights/one week/one month- cuatro noches/una semana/un mes

How much is it per person/per night -Cuánto es por persona/por noche?

Is breakfast included?-El desayuno está incluido?

Does the hotel have -

  1. a car-park - hay aparcamiento?
  2. a restaurant - hay un restaurante en el hotel?
  3. a lift - hay ascensor?
  4. rooms for smokers - tiene habitaciones para fumadores?
  5. rooms for the disabled - tiene habitaciones para minusválidos?
  6. a bar - hay un bar en el hotel?
  7. computers with internet access - tiene ordenadores con internet?
  8. a swimming pool - hay una piscina?

When is breakfast - A qué hora se sirve el desayuno?

Breakfast is served between 7 and 9 in the morning - Se sirve el desayuno entre las siete y las nueve de la mañana.

When is dinner served?- A qué hora es la cena?

Dinner is served between 8 and 10 in the evening - Se sirve la cena entre las ocho y las diez de la noche.

What time does the swimming pool open?- A qué hora abre la piscina?

 

Complaints-Quejas / Problems-Problemas

There are no towels in my room - No hay toallas en mi habitación.

I have lost the key to my room - He perdido la llave de mi habitación.

We would like to change rooms please - Quisiéramos cambiar de habitación, por favor.

The air conditioning is not working - No funciona el aire acondicionado.

The lift is not working - No funciona el ascensor.

I`ve broken the lamp- He roto la lámpara.

There is no hot water - No hay agua caliente.

The room is dirty- La habitación está sucia.
